Transcription: Most of Patagonia is made up of vast expanses of sheep grazing land. The area holds around 30 million sheep, but is thinly populated as ranching employs few people. Patagonian ranchers, known as gauchos, have a long and complex history. The original gauchos worked independently and controlled herds of cattle, but by the mid-19th century this lifestyle was in decline. Sheep had replaced cattle as the main source of revenue, and landowners forced the gauchos to give up their nomadic lifestyle. You
